"The connecting effect of personal mindfulness methods in business surprised me. Conscious presence through re-focusing leads me to more convincing and effective influence on daily events." — Head of Control & Image Chain in R&D, Siemens Healthineers

01 · Why now

Think clearer. Perform better.

Organisations spend where it moves the business: sharper decisions, steadier execution under pressure, and people who keep performing through reorganisations, AI adoption, and constant change. What actually drives all three rarely gets a budget line of its own.

The tools that build it are not new. They are among the oldest practices humans have, and modern science now shows exactly why they still work.

Inner & Outer Management addresses both dimensions of performance simultaneously. External structure without inner clarity leads to burnout. Inner clarity without external structure leads to drift. Both are needed, and both are trainable.

Ancient practices, measured by modern science
The result: people who stay clear and steady when everything around them keeps changing.

Ancient contemplative traditions taught through practice what neuroscience can now measure directly: trained attention and breath regulate the nervous system, not just the mood.

Balban et al. (2023) and Giorgi & Tedeschi (2025): structured breathwork outperforms standard mindfulness meditation for reducing anxiety, and produces lasting HRV improvements, the body's primary stress-resilience marker.

Plus: the human advantage

The one skill that gets no training budget, and can't be automated. Think of how much money and effort organisations pour into training people on external systems that keep changing: new software, new tools, new platforms. Yet the one system driving every important decision a person will ever make gets almost no training at all: the mind making the call.

As AI takes over more routine tasks, inner skills such as attention, regulation, and real presence become more decisive, not less. They cannot be automated, and they compound: a team that regulates itself well adapts faster to whatever changes next, AI included. That is the real competitive advantage, not another tool in the stack, and it is the one investment that keeps paying off no matter what technology comes next.

02 · The framework

Two worlds. One practice.

High performance requires both: a clear inner world and a well-organised outer world. This workshop addresses both in one session.

Inner Management
Navigating the inner world
thoughts · emotions · attention · body
Focusing the Mind

Processing Emotions
Practices such as:
  • Box breathing 4-4-4-4 (nervous system regulation)
  • 4-7-8 breath
  • Notice, name, feel
  • Lovingkindness meditation
  • 90-second rule (emotions as energy in motion)
Grounding the Body
Practices such as:

The outcome

Participants leave with tools they have already used under real pressure, not just heard about, ready to apply the next day.

03 · What we solve

We know the objections.

Three questions we hear before almost every booking, and our honest answer to each. This targets an under-invested, evidence-backed area of performance: personal focus, clarity, and emotional balance.

01
"Our leadership team won't engage with this."

We know the pattern. Most senior leaders walk in sceptical and leave asking for more. Every tool we use is science-backed and measurable: HRV tracking, structured pre/post surveys, or a team check-in four weeks later all show concrete outcomes. We have worked with senior executive and women's leadership groups across DAX companies and still receive messages about how a single session changed the way people work.

02
"How is this different from the mindfulness app we already offer?"

Apps provide content. Inner & Outer Management provides experience, coaching, and peer accountability. Research shows that digital-only mindfulness interventions lose over 96% of users within 30 days, with no behaviour change to show for it. In a live session, participants practise the tools together, get coached in real time, and hold each other accountable as a team. That is what turns information into transformation.

03
"Does mindfulness really improve productivity?"

Inner & Outer Management is not a meditation retreat. Outer Management is explicitly about GTD, Pomodoro, and single-tasking: productivity methods that most teams know but have never properly implemented. All tools are evidence-based. The inner practices regulate the state that makes the outer tools stick.

04 · Session formats

The Inner & Outer Management philosophy
See it in action

Mindfulness at work.

In their words

What leaders say.

"Together with Sophie, we introduced the concept of Mindfulness to my leadership team. We learned time-efficient mindfulness tools for daily work life and experienced the effects of feeling more relaxed instantly. It seems Sophie was born to be a mind fitness coach."
Laurent Dosogne · Chief Pricing Officer Healthtech LATAM, Philips
"The focus on focus and communication was very well executed. I noticed that you reached me and my colleagues with your relaxed and friendly manner. I was told this spontaneously in three one-to-one conversations the very next day."
